We were asked to design and build a handsome tower with various ups and downs, including monkey bars and a double slide.
Redcliffe Childrens Centre
This popular city centre nursery has a great mix of structured and free play. The centrepiece is a pair of tree platforms linked by a rope bridge.
We created this play structure as the centre piece of a larger project with a bike track There’s an artificial grass mound and tunnel, living walls, mud and sand play, rubber surfacing and other play equipment.
This platform has a shop window below. The cut out leaf shapes have coloured acrylic which project autumn colours inside the space when it’s sunny.

Play houses, huts & shelters
Everything we design and build is original and solidly made. Big on character, play value and value for money. Low on enviro footprint.
Fancy your own tropical cabana, jungle tree house, wonky cottage or your own home in miniature?
How about a charming little town with a mill, blacksmith, baker etc for your museum play area?
Our imaginations are the limit!

Mill House, Somerset
Mill House in Somerset is a pretty home with an old mill stream running alongside. The customer wanted to replace a rotting deck with a larger structure to include a bridge over the stream to give better garden access.
Features of this structure include:
* Use of Accoya deckboards, chemical and heat treated timber that has a 50 year guarantee, for uncompromising durability.
* Waterproofing of the dining space below the deck using polycarbonate sheeting.
* Addition of skylights for better lighting below deck.
* Beautiful Somerset Larch for the frame and balustrade with stainless steel cabling.
* A small bbq platform over the bridge and a log bench below.
We just got back from hols last night and it was fantastic to come back to the balcony finished and looking so brilliant. We had a good look round it and we are so delighted with how it has come out. We are really really happy with everything and so grateful to you and your team for all your hard work! I can’t wait to start using it properly!

Hortham Play park
Despite limited space and budget, we managed to squeeze a lot of play features into this public park. Swings, monkey bars, a grass mound and tunnel linked by bridges to a pair of platforms and a balance trail.

Chris has recently built a majestic cedar shingled roof for the sandpit at our nursery school. Not only does it look beautiful, and remind our children of the barn at Leigh Woods, it will be great in all weathers. Chris has also done plenty of other work for us, including a full playground redevelopment and is always on hand to support with maintenance and upkeep. We’re pleased with the quality and value for money that Monkey Business provides.

Their quality of build is very good and they are easy and friendly to deal with. I would use them again if I am working on similar projects. Thanks guys 🙌🙏’
