STEP ONE
Project brief and site survey
Our team will make an initial, no-obligation visit to meet you on-site, to discuss your needs, ideas, and budget. We will also take photos and measurements, and collect site information including underground utilities, access, and noise and work restrictions.
We will also agree to a design fee (where applicable) based on the size and complexity of the works and the detail required.
STEP TWO
Initial outline design
The Monkey Business Design team will present one or more design ideas and descriptions with approximate costings. We may use hand-drawn or CAD illustrations as well as photos, mood boards, Pinterest boards, and product samples.
STEP THREE
Final designs and costs
Our team will finalise the designs based on your feedback, and detail items such as administration costs, timings, maintenance needs, and health and safety issues. We will also book the work at a time that suits you.
STEP FOUR
The build begins!
We use our own team of skilled landscapers and carpenters, supplemented as necessary by vetted contractors and always under our close supervision. We will do our best to minimise disruption to your working day and we are always on hand to discuss any matters arising from the project.
STEP FIVE
Safety inspection
At Monkey Business Design, we are 100% committed to providing a safe play environment. Our work in public spaces and educational establishments complies with BS EN 1176 and BS EN 1177 safety standards.
If necessary, we will contract an independent play inspector to assess our proposals at the design stage and/or project sign-off stage.
STEP SIX
Ongoing care and maintenance
Ensure your new equipment can be enjoyed for many years to come. We can provide a full inspection and maintenance schedule for your own use and an optional annual maintenance service.
